Let's see how it performs!

For testing thermal pastes I use steady thermal load in order to be as fair as possible and eliminate any chance for errors.

Testing methodology is described here.

I will compare Gelid Solutions GC-Extreme with the following pastes:

  • Arctic Ceramique
  • Arctic Silver 5
  • Gelid Solutions GC-2
  • Shin Etsu X23
  • Scythe ThermalElixer

Let's have a look at the results!

We can see that Gelid Solutions GC-Extreme clearly outperforms Arctic Ceramique and Arctic Silver 5, the two most commonly used thermal pastes, showing that Gelid Solutions has made a very dynamic entry at the thermal compound market.

It really impressed me that a not well known company made a thermal compound that performs better than Arctic SIlver 5,Shin Etsu X23 and Scythe ThermalElixer!

Also applying GC-Extreme was a piece of cake,it is not so thick like Arctic Ceramique and this makes the spreading with the included spreader very easy.

Also a big advantage of GC-Extreme is the price, with MSRP: USD 9.99 / Euro 6.99  is one of the cheapest high performance thermal pastes.

Pros

  • High performance
  • Easy installation
  • Short break-in time
  • Low price
  • Spreader included

Cons

  • None

"Gelid Solutions GC-Extreme is an outsider that will shock many people with its performance and low price...If you are planning to purchace a new thermal paste GC-Extreme should definitelly be in your shortlist!"
